The Hamilton County Senior High math team competes in the ICTM (Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics) competition. The competition begins with the regional at a local high school on approximately the last Saturday of February. Those who meet qualifying standards then compete at the state competition at the University of Illinois - Champagne/Urbana on the first Saturday of May. The team is open to all high school students. Competition involves both individual and group competitions. Team members can practice for the competition in Mr. Ward's room after school until 4:00, except on days of JV Scholastic Bowl competitions.
