Welcome
My name is Jason Ronna and I am in my second year here as Principal of Hamilton County Jr./Sr. High School. At Hamilton County Jr./Sr. High School, we pride ourselves in the quality education we deliver to the Junior and Senior High School students of Hamilton County. Year after year, our scores on state tests are among the best in Southeast Illinois. Our students have represented this school well in Academics, Athletics, and other Activities. Our vocational programs are recognized as among the best in Southern Illinois. Our modern facility provides an excellent environment for students and the community to grow and learn. One addition we have added this year is wireless internet access. We have in the past and continue to offer dual credit classes through Rend Lake College. Through this program, we are starting to add Coal Mining Technology classes to prepare our career bound students for work in our local coal mine that is being constructed.
We would also like to welcome to HCJSH Mr. Travis McCollum as our new Assistant Principal. Mr. McCollum, a native of Benton, comes to us from Mt. Vernon Township High School where he taught biology. We are very excited to have Mr. McCollum as our newest Fox.
