The Senior High Spring Concert featuring the Jazz Band, Chorus, and Concert Band, will be Monday, April 30, at 7:00 p.m.
The bus for Friday’s
track meet to Carterville will leave at 1:00 pm. Please dismiss track team at 12:50.
The McLeansboro Sea Otters Swim Team will begin the 2012 season at the end of May. Registration forms are available in the office.
We only have a few weeks left to reach our goal of 1,000,000 "pop" tabs. The next and final contest will be the battle of the 6th hour classes. The contest will run from now until May 7. The winning class will receive a pizza party. C'mon students, let's make this the best contest ever by bringing in more tabs than we have any other month this year.
The 8th grade recognition is Monday, May 14, at 6:30.

Trivia for the Day: HOW DID WE GET THE 'DOLLAR' ($) SYMBOL?
Answer: In
the pioneer days, they symbol for currency was 'US' - the "S" was
placed directly over the "U" and in time, we got lazy and instead of "US"
overlapping, we shortened the "U" into today's "S" with two
lines through it.
