Special Educational Services

The District maintains related services logs that document the type and number of minutes of related services administered under a student's individualized education program (IEP). These related service logs will be available to parents/guardians at a student's annual review IEP meeting. Parent/guardians may also request a copy of any IEP related service log maintained for their child. Please direct any requests for a copy of a related service log for your child to Christina Epperson, Special Education Coordinator (618) 643-2328 ext. 6160.

Students with disabilities who do not qualify for an individualized education program, as required by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Act and implementing provisions of this Code, may qualify for services under Section 504 of the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 if the child (i) has  a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, (ii) has a record of a physical or mental impairment, or (iii) is regarded as having a physical or mental impairment.  If you have any questions regarding the identification, placement, and assessment of such children please contact Dahlgren Grade School Principal, Jay Lentz, at 618-736-2316.
