The Board of Education of Hamilton County Community Unit District No. 10 met in a special session on the evening of April 11, 2005, for the purpose of conducting a reorganizational meeting.

Motion by Anselment, second by Kirsch to appoint Vince Mitchell, Superintendent, as President Pro Tem. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Ewald, second by Kirsch to appoint Irene Biggerstaff as Secretary Pro Tem. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

President Pro Tem Mitchell called the meeting to order. Roll Call was as follows: Present – Danny Anselment, Steve Becker, Krystal Donelson, Randy Kirsch, Tom Maulding, Rodney Rubenacker and John Ewald.

President Pro Tem Mitchell opened nominations for board president for a two year term. Ewald was nominated by Maulding.

Ewald was declared president by acclaimation.

President Ewald opened nominations for board vice-president for a two year term. Donelson nominated Maulding.

Maulding was declared vice-president by acclaimation.

Motion by Becker, second by Anselment to employ Irene Biggerstaff as board secretary for a term of two years. Roll Call vote - Voting Yes - Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Kirsch, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

President Ewald opened nominations for executive session secretary for a two year term. Becker nominated Kirsch.

Kirsch was declared executive session secretary by acclaimation.

Motion by Maulding, second by Donelson to set the regular meeting date of the Board of Education for Hamilton County Community Unit District No. 10 of Hamilton County, Illinois, on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. during the months of November - March and 7:00 p.m. during the months of April - October at the Unit Office in said district. Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Kirsch, second by Donelson that previous board policies for Hamilton County Community Unit District No. 10 be adopted as the official policies and regulations for this Board of Education. Roll Call vote - Voting Yes – Kirsch, Donelson, Anselment, Becker, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Anselment, second by Becker to designate financial depositories as follows:

Education Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Site & Construction Fund - Peoples National Bank McLeansboro

Pre-School Daycare - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Building Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Municipal Retirement Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Fire, Prevention & Safety Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Bond & Interest Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Transportation Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Working Cash Fund - Peoples National Bank, McLeansboro

Roll Call vote - Voting Yes – Anselment, Becker, Donelson, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Abstain Voting – Randy Kirsch. Motion carried.

Motion by Maulding, second by Becker to appoint Carmen Beck as treasurer for a term of two years. Roll Call vote - Voting Yes - Maulding, Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Kirsch, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

Motion by Donelson, second by Kirsch to employ Robbins, Schwartz, Nicholas, Lifton & Taylor, Ltd. as legal counsel for Hamilton County Community Unit District No. 10. Roll Call vote - Voting Yes - Donelson, Kirsch, Anselment, Becker, Maulding, Rubenacker and Ewald. Motion carried.

President Ewald designated members to serve on Board Committees for a period of two years.

Motion by Donelson, second by Becker to adjourn. Vote was taken by voice, motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
